Fernando Yamamoto is an Assistant Research Professor at the Thad Cochran Warmwater Aquaculture Center, Delta Research and Extension Center-Stoneville at Mississippi State University (MSU). He is also a faculty member affiliated with the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture at MSU. He received his B.S. degree in Aquaculture Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2012) and his M.Sc. in the Animal Science and Pasture Department at the College of Agriculture Luiz de Queiroz (University of São Paulo) (2015). In 2019 he got his Ph.D. degree at the Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences department at Texas AM University. His research interest is mainly focused on fish nutrition, alternative ingredients in fish feeds, feed additives to improve health and intestinal microbiome. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
