He has a degree in Chemistry from Chemistry Institute at São Paulo State University (UNESP) (1995), a Masters in Chemistry from São Paulo State University (1998), a Ph.D. in Chemistry - Universite de Rennes I (2002) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from São Paulo State University (2002). He completed postdoctoral studies at the Université de Paris Sud (2002-2003) and postdoctoral studies at the Gleb Wataglin Institute of Physics at the State University of Campinas (2004-2007). He developed a Young Researcher project in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of UNESP in Bauru (2007-2009). He was an associate professor at the Chemistry Department of UFSCar in São Carlos, SP, from August 2009 to May 2013. He completed an one year as invited researcher at ICMCB at Bordeaux University, in France between 08/2019 and 07/2020. He completed three months as invited researcher at Aveiro University, in Portugal, 12/2023 and 02/2024. He is the Coordinator for Multi-user Equipment Program of FAPESP since may 2024. He is currently a Lecturer at the Chemistry Institute of UNESP in Araraquara, SP. He has experience in the areas of Chemistry and Physics, with emphasis on Inorganic Chemistry, working mainly in the following subjects: glass and glass ceramics for photonics and magneto-optical materials, luminescent single crystals, photonic crystals and photosensitive materials.
