A researcher investigating the relations between culture, literature and eroticism, ELIANE ROBERT MORAES is Professor of Brazilian Literature at the University of São Paulo (USP) since 2010 and a Researcher of the CNPq (The Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) since 2009. Holder of a Doctorate in Philosophy, she has been Full Professor of the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) till 2009. Working on Aesthetics and Literature. She has been a visiting professor at the University of California in Los Angeles UCLA (USA, 2009), at the Université Paris Nanterre - Paris 10 (France, 2014) and, as na Erasmus Mundus Visiting Scholar at both the Université Via Domitia Perpignan (France,2010) and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal, 2012). She currently supervises Master, PhD and Pos-graduation studies at the University of São Paulo as well as PhDs cosupervisions in the universities Vincennes-Saint Denis (Paris 8) and Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3) in France. She is actually the coordinator of two international research projects that involve junior and senior researchers from France, Portugal and Brazil, carrying on intense academic exchanges as seminars, colloquiums and publications.Her published books include the translation of Georges Batailles Story of the Eye to portuguese and six essays : Marquês de Sade - Um libertino no salão dos filósofos (1992), Sade - A felicidade libertina (1994); O Corpo impossível (2002), Lições de Sade Ensaios sobre a imaginação libertina (2006, edited in Colombia) and Perversos, amantes e outros trágicos (2013). She has also organized, among other books, the first Brazilian Anthology of Erotic Poetry (Antologia da poesia erótica brasileira), which was edited in 2015 in Brazil, and in 2017 in Portugal, and two commented selections of erotic brazilian tales: O corpo descoberto (1852-1922) edited in 2018, and O corpo desvelado (1922-2022) edited in 2022. Her last essay is called A parte maldita brasileira - Literatura. Excesso. Erotismo (The Brazilian Accursed Share - Literature. Excess.
