Graduated in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo, and postgraduate (master and doctor) in Sciences (Analytical Chemistry) from the same University. He was a visiting scientist at the University of Nantes (France), from September/1997 to August/1998. Between March/2000 and February/2002, he was professor of General and Analytical Chemistry at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). He joined at Embrapa Instrumentação in June/2002, where he is currently Researcher A. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Chemistry, with an emphasis on Environmental Chemistry and Sanitary Engineering. He works mainly on the following topics: soil and water chemistry, technologies and processes applied to basic rural sanitation, agricultural reuse of effluents and organic waste, soil organic matter, and chemical and spectroscopical methods applied to environmental problems. He has 49 publications in scientific journals and 20 technical publications "Embrapa Series". He is the editor of 6 books and author of 8 book chapters. From March/2015 to June/2018, he assumed the position of Deputy Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Instrumentação. Wilson is a supervisor in the Postgraduate Program in Microbiology at UNESP, in São José do Rio Preto/SP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
