Sonia Carbonell Alvares

Sonia Carbonell is a researcher,an educator and a visual artist. She concluded a postdoctoral research on Art Education and Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de São Paulo. Sonia has a ceramics atelier, where she produces artistic works. PhD in Education from the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo, she prepared the thesis ?Educational praxis in popular cultures?, published in 2021, by Editora Terra Redonda. The research obtained a FAPESP grant, is located in the area of Culture and Education. Sonia participates as a researcher in the Research Groups: "LAB_ARTE", from the Faculty of Education of USP/CNPQ and "Panorama of Latin American Ceramics - traditional and contemporary", from UNESP/CNPQ. She also works with pedagogical coordination, teaching in higher education, production of didactic material, teacher training, consultancy and pedagogical advice on art and education in public and private institutions.
