Professor Kleber Thiago de Oliveira has a degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (bachelor -1998-2001- and licensed -2004-2005). He has a PhD in Science (2002-2006) with a focus on Synthetic Organic Chemistry, also obtained from the University of São Paulo (USP-RP). He has experience in Organic Synthesis and develops research on synthesizing photosensitizing molecules with applications in Photonic Therapies, Organic Synthesis methodologies, and Total Syntheses of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (IFAs). He also works on the development of reactions in a continuous flow regime, aiming to design and build new continuous flow reactors for API production. Reactions mediated by photocatalysis and electrosynthesis are the main focuses of the work developed by his group. He carried out post-doctorate at the University of Aveiro - Portugal (2006-2007), and the University of São Paulo (2007-2008) and served as a Visiting Professor at Florida State University - USA (2015), working with photocatalyzed reactions in Continuous Flow regime under the supervision of Prof. D.Tyler McQuade. He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) at CCET-UFSCar and the Head of the Chemistry Department at UFSCar. He is a member of the Brazilian Chemical Society.
