Carolina has a graduate degree in Biology (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia, 2000). Masters degree in Entomology at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa UFV, Minas Gerais, Brasil (2006) and a Doctorate degree from the Universidade de São Paulo, Faculdade de Saúde Pública (2015). Her working experience both as an educator and researcher has been focused on the following subjects: Taxonomy of mosquitoes (disease vectors of dengue, malaria and encephalitis), field and laboratory work related to the biology and ecology of mosquito vectors, control of mosquitoes in the field, and research project formulation and administration.
