The goal of this project is to study the rigorous definition of the Euler characteristic while studying the basic concepts of differential geometry needed for the global understanding of the Gauss-Bonnet theorem.(AU)
Horizons are essential specialized surfaces for the causal characterization of spacetimes in General Relativity. This project consists in a study on the possible geometric and topological classification of horizons, aiming a better understanding of their roles in the Physics and Mathematics of spacetime.
