Graduation in Mathematics from Universidad Nacional de Mar Del Plata, Argentina (1989) and PhD in Mathematics from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil (1997) under the supervision of Francisco Miraglia. In 2001 he got a postdoctoral position at the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, Portugal (2001-2002) under supervision of Amílcar Sernadas. Between 1998 and 2004 he was Assistant Professor at the Philosophy Department of the Institute of Philosophy and The Humanities (IFCH) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). In 2004 he got his Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Logic from UNICAMP. Between 2005 and 2013 he was Associate Professor, and since 2013 he is Full Professor at the Philosophy Department of IFCH/UNICAMP. He has experience in Philosophy, focusing on Logic and the Foundations of Mathematics, acting on the following subjects: non-classical logics, paraconsistent logics, combining logics, translation between logics, and category theory. Since 1999 he is member of the Brazilian Logic Society (SBL). He was part of the Directory Board of the Brazilian Logic Society between 1999 and 2017. He was President of the Brazilian Logic Society (SBL), period 2014-2017. He was Coordinator of the GT Lógica (Logic Working Group) of The Brazilian National Association of Graduate Studies in Philosophy (ANPOF), from 2010 to 2024. Since 2002 he is member of the Centre for Logic, Epistemology and the History of Science (CLE) of UNICAMP. He was Director of the Centre for Logic, Epistemology and the History of Science (CLE) of UNICAMP between 2015 and 2021, being now Vice-Director. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
