Arthur Bernardes Cecílio Filho graduated in Agronomic Engineering, in 1989, by the longstanding Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras , now Federal University of Lavras. He obtained the titles of Master and Doctor of Sciences, respectively in 1994 and 1996, in the same Institution of Education. He worked at the Federal University of Uberlândia, as Substitute Professor, in 1997, and was admitted to a public competition at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Jaboticabal Campus, in September 1997. He is Professor of the Department of Agricultural Sciences. He works in the area of #8203;#8203;olericultura (vegetable production), with emphasis on indoor cultivation system, nutrition and fertilization of vegetables, soilless cultivation and intercropping of vegetables. In 26 years of university career, he guided scientific initiation, masters and doctors, and supervised postdocs, and published scientific articles in more than 40 refereed journals. He is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is accredited in the Postgraduate Program Agronomy (Plant Production). He regularly participates in collegiate programs and coordinates the University Extension Project 'Programa Hortaliças Unesp', since January 2003. He is the coordinator of the research groups Intercropping of vegetables' and Soilless cultivation, both registered in Unesp and CNPq. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
