Currently Professor at the Fluminense Federal University - University Volta Redonda (PUVR) - Institute of Exact Sciences (ICEx) and participates in the Graduate Program in Environmental Technology of UFF-PUVR. Has experience in the field of Biochemical Engineering, with emphasis on the study and optimization of microbiological and enzymatic processes, treatment and characterization of lignocellulosic materials. Recently (2015) has started studies in environmental biotechnology in projects in the areas of effluent treatment using wetlands (aquatic macrophytes) and anaerobic process. Past works: use of sugarcane and sugarcane bagasse for the production of probiotic and lactic acid potentials, second generation bioethanol production, fermentation and enzymatic xylitol production, xylose reductase production, RNA (food), biotechnological use of glycerol from the biodiesel industry, processes of membrane separation and immobilization of microbial cells. Bachelor's Degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo - Lorena School of Engineering (USP-EEL, 2006) and PhD in Industrial Biotechnology from the same institution (USP-EEL, 2010).
