He holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the São Paulo State University (UNESP - 1982) and a PhD in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (USP - 1996). He completed post-doctoral training at the Section of Occupational Medicine & Toxicology, Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia - Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. He is a retired Professor of Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Araraquara (FCFAr), UNESP. He is a member of the Scientific Committee on Occupational Toxicology (SCOT) of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH). Has experience in the area of Collective Health, with emphasis on Occupational Toxicology and Hygiene. It mainly works on the following subjects: occupational exposure to solvents and metals.
