Associate Professor MS-5.1 at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Professor of the Department of Organic Chemistry at UNICAMP since 2008. Previously served as an associate professor at the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (UENF) from 2000 to 2008.Graduated in Industrial Chemistry (1989), Bachelors Degree in Chemistry (1990), and Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry Education (1990) from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). Specialization degree in Organic Synthesis in 1991 at UFF, obtained a M.Sc. Degree in Natural Product Chemistry in 1993 from the Center for Natural Product Research (NPPN, currently IPPN - Institute of Natural Product Research) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), obtained a Ph.D. in Sciences in 1999 from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), completed a post-doctoral fellowship in 2000 at UFRJ, and obtained a Livre-Docente Degree in 2020 from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).His main research focus is Organic Synthesis, primarily engaged in the total synthesis of natural products and analogs with significant biological activity; molecular organic geochemistry; development and application of QSAR/QSPR and classification methods; and the development of new selective synthetic processes for organic compound reactions.
