Post Doctorate in the School of Dentistry, Dept. of Oral Biology, University of Washington (2001-2002) and the College of Dentistry, Dept. of Oral Biology, University of Florida (2002-2004). He is currently Professor. Dr. Department of Microbiology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo. The research involves the study of the modulation of biofilm formation and the process of cell invasion by oral bacteria, investigating ecological factors, virulence factors, expression, regulation and function of genes involved in these processes.
