I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences from UNESP Botucatu (2000), a master's degree (2003), and a doctorate. (2007) in Medical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo USP. I developed scientific research related to post-doctoral studies at the São Carlos Physics Institute CEPOF/IFSC/USP (2007-2009). I have experience in Biophysics, with an emphasis on Radiology and Photobiology, working mainly in Photodynamic Therapy (PDT), Photobiomodulation (PBM), Photosensitizers (PS), and Spectroscopy.I have been a member of the faculty at the University of Vale do Paraíba - Univap since 2009, where I created the Laboratory of Photobiology Applied to Health (PhotoBioS Lab), forming a research group that aims to evaluate cellular, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms and events in PDT and PBM. Photobios Lab's multidisciplinary research is dedicated to understanding biological processes to elucidate fundamental problems in light-based therapies.I am currently the Director of the Research and Development Institute (IPD - Univap).Catarinas mother (11 years old).
