Birthplace: Brazil

I am Associate Professor at the Federal University of ABC, in Santo André - SP. I have studied Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, on the standards of the former Soviet Union. I have my PhD in Solitons, with applications in nonlinear optics. Since joining UFABC, I have been working on developing methods and approaches in the following areas: Many-Body Physics, such as boson systems and Bose-Einstein condensates, photon interferences on the mesoscopic scale, Boson Sampling with photons and squeezed states, and Quantum Optics. The approaches I am developing have intimate relation with some areas of Applied Mathematics, such as Multilinear Algebra and Group Theory. For example, one of the approaches I have been developing since 2014 is the theory of distinguishability in many-photon interferences with application to Boson Sampling, etc. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
