She holds a degree in Physics from the Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (UNIJUÍ, 2000), a Master's (2001), and a Ph.D. (2006) in Physics from the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). She completed postdoctoral research at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, 2006-2008) and at the Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR, 2008-2009). She was a professor and researcher at the Universidade do Vale do Paraíba (2009-2023). Currently, she is a member of the advisory board of the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT/FAPESP) project, a member of the S-PLUS survey, the Astronomy area coordinator at FAPESP, and a full professor at the Universidade de São Paulo. She has experience in Astronomy, with an emphasis on Extragalactic Astrophysics and the Interstellar Medium, studying different aspects of galaxies in various (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
