Visiting Professor of the Department of Biological Sciences (DCB), Santa Cruz State University (UESC). Member of the Applied Ecology and Conservation Lab and of the post-graduate program in Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation (PPGECB) from UESC, Ilhéus-BA. Member of the Technical Advisory Group (GAT) of the National Action Plan for the conservation of primates and of the maned sloth (PAN PPMA) and member of the Data Curation Council and the Management Council of the Porto Sul Social Observatory, a partnership between UESC and the Southern Bahia Science and Technology Park (PCTSUL). PhD in Applied Ecology at the University of São Paulo (USP) and Postdoctoral degree in Ecology and Conservation at the PPGECB / UESC. Develops research in ecology focused on biodiversity conservation, addressing themes related to behavioral and spatial ecology, especially those involving patterns of behavior, rhythms, movement, space use and distribution. In addition, it has applied its research to better design and conduct conservation strategies, engaging in various research projects and national action plans. He is interested in research on endangered species and in the elaboration of systematic conservation plans. In the last 10 years, he have been developing research and conservation actions to neotropical arboreal folivore mammals, especially the porcupines (Chachomys subspinosus, Coendou insidiosus, Coendou spinosus) and sloths (Bradypus torquatus, Bradypus variegatus), as well as primates and cetaceans.
