Associate professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), working in the development and investigation of semiconductor materials. Currently, he focuses on oxide semiconductor systems and their functionalities, including fundamental studies on their optical and electrical properties. He has experience in #8203;#8203;Synthesis and Optical Properties of Condensed Matter, with advances in topics related to thin films, semiconductor heterostructures and nanostructures, optical and magneto-optical spectroscopies and sensing, which include III-V semiconductors, III-nitrides, semiconductor oxides and dilute magnetic semiconductors. Graduated in Physics (1999), master and doctorate in Physics from the UNICAMP - State University of Campinas (2002 and 2006 respectively), with post-doctorates at Universität Paderborn (Germany), University of São Paulo (IF-USP) and University of Valencia (Spain). He was an assistant professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) and director of publications at SBFoton. Currently, he is the coordinator of the Bachelor of Physics course at UFSCar.
