Graduated in Biological Sciences in University of São Paulo (2003), Camila Aguetoni Cambui developed the Ph.D. in the area of Botany also at the University of São Paulo (finished in 2009). During the Ph.D., conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology, the thesis work has focused on nitrogen nutrition and plant biochemistry, mainly in the following areas: physiology of epiphytic bromeliads, uptake of organic (urea) and inorganic nitrogen sources, nitrogen metabolism in plants, roles of the enzymes urease and arginase, and the the role of aquaporins in the absorption of urea. I'm currently working as posdoc in Sweden, where I study the role of amino acids in root development. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
