Benito Soto-Blanco has bachelor in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Paulista (1995), MSc in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from Universidade de São Paulo (1999), and Ph.D. in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from Universidade de São Paulo (2003) with a period at ARS/USDA Poisonous Plants Research Laboratory. He was a professor at the Department of Animal Sciences at the School of Agriculture of Mossoró/Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA) from 2002 to 2012, having held the positions of deputy director of the veterinary hospital, coordinator of the undergraduate course in Veterinary Medicine, and coordinator of the postgraduate course in Animal Science. He is Full Professor of the Department of Veterinary Clinic and Surgery at the Veterinary School, Federal University of Minas Gerais, having held the positions of Coordinator of the Research Advisory Center - NAPq (2014 to 2017), Sub-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Animal Science (2017 to 2018) and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Animal Science (2018 to 2020). Has experience in Veterinary Medicine, acting on the following subjects: toxicology, toxic plants, bees, animal pathology, and clinical pathology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
