Ricardo Galeno Fraga de Araújo Pereira

graduate in geology (1995) and master degree (1998) in geosciences at São Paulo University Brazil). In 2010 finished the PhD studies in geology at Minho University (Braga/Portugal), with a scholarship from the Program for high level scholarships for Latin America (Alban Program). The thesis "Geoconservação e Desenvolvimento Suetntável na Chapada Diamantina (Bahia/Brasil)" won the international prize Casa da América Latina / Santander Totta. Currently work as a professor at the Federal University of Bahia and is the head of the Oceanography Department. Has experience in Geosciences, focusing on geoconservation, environmental geology, hidrogeology, geomorphology and geospeleology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
