B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1997), M.Sc.BA and Ph.D. in Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (2003 and 2007, respectively), and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Universidade de Brasília (2019). Currently holds academic positions at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and works at the Central Bank of Brazil, with responsability for formulating quantitative models, including econometrics and machine learning, and providing in depth analyses about domestic and external financial markets, particularly exchange rate marekts, to support monetary and foreign exchange policy decisions and the investment of Brazilian international reserves, including macroeconomic and time series forecasting, risk management, asset pricing and optimization models. Also responsible for in-house trainings in foreign exchange markets, econometrics and exchange rate models. Has experience in Risk Management (credit, market and liquidity), Enterprise Valuation and Quantitative Methods applied to investment management. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
