Guilherme Cardinali Barreiro

Graduated in Medicine from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Campinas, SP (1999-2004). He served as a lieutenant physician of the Brazilian Army at the 2nd CiaCom L, of the 11 Light Infantry Brigade in Campinas, SP (2005). Went to General Surgery Residency at UNICAMP (2006-2008) and in Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of São Paulo - USP, in São Paulo, SP (2008-2011). He did a Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at USP (2011-2012), and specialized in microsurgery in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. He got his PhD in complex head and neck reconstruction at USP (2011-2015). He worked as a reconstructive microsurgeon in the group of oncological reconstructions and head and neck reconstructions of the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (ICESP), Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo - HCFMUSP (2012-2015). Participated in the Group of Wounds, Microsurgery and Urgencies in Plastic Surgery of HCFMUSP (2010-2015). He is currently assistant physician of plastic surgery at the Development Foundation of UNICAMP, and is responsible for the Complex Reconstruction and Microsurgery Group of the Unicamp Hospital das Clínicas. He is assistant physician of plastic surgery and burns of the Institute of Medical Assistance to the State Public Server - IAMSPE. He is a medical researcher in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery and microsurgery, focusing on freestyle flaps, perfusion of flaps, reconstruction of head and neck and perforating. Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and the Brazilian Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
