Rogério Custodio is Bachelor in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (USP) (1979). Obtained the following titles from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP): Master in Physical Chemistry (1982), Doctor in Sciences (1988), Associated Professor (1999) and Full Professor (2013). Performed post-doctoral at the Department of Chemistry, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. John D. Goddard from 1991-1993. Currently occupies the position of Full Professor at the Institute of Chemistry, UNICAMP, and has experience in the area of Physical Chemistry, with emphasis on Theoretical Chemistry, acting on the following topics: development of computational methods in chemistry based on ab initio and density functional theories, design of basis functions, Quantum Monte Carlo and applications of quantum mechanics for structural, electronic and thermochemical properties of atomic and molecular systems. He is member of the São Paulo State Academy of Science and was awarded with the Recognition for Dedication to Undergraduate Teaching (UNICAMP) in 2015. Prof. Custodio also have participated of the organization of the institution exercising several administrative activities. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
