Vitor F. O. de Miranda holds a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (1999), an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Plant Biology) from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro (2006), and a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) from UNESP (2018). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at UNESP/FCAV (Jaboticabal) and curator of the Herbarium JABU. He teaches undergraduate courses (Biological Sciences; Agronomic Engineering) in plant systematics and graduate courses (M.Sc./Ph.D.) in phylogenetic systematics, genomics, and molecular evolution. He leads the CNPq research group Systematics, Genomics, and Evolution of Carnivorous Plants, serves on the editorial boards of Frontiers in Plant Science, Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution, PLANTS, and Italian Botanist, and acts as a reviewer for numerous national and international journals. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer and/or advisor for funding agencies in Brazil (FAPESP, CAPES, CNPq) and abroad (Human Frontier Science Program, France; Ministero dellUniversità e della Ricerca, Italy).He is the Internationalization Coordinator and a principal investigator of the Center for Research on Biodiversity Dynamics and Climate Change (CBioClima), a Research, Innovation, and Dissemination Center (CEPID) based at UNESP (www.cbioclima.org) and supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). He has supervisedand continues to supervisehigh-school, undergraduate, graduate (M.Sc./Ph.D.), and postdoctoral researchers.
