Raul Ernesto Lopez Palacio

He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of La Habana (1991), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1999) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2003). He joined as an Associate Professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro - UENF in 2003, working at the Advanced Materials Laboratory (LAMAV), linked to the Center for Science and Technology (CCT). He has experience in academic management, being coordinator of the graduation course in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials in the period from 2007 to 2012. Represented the CCT in the Internal Commission of Scholarships of Scientific Initiation of the UENF (PIBIC) from 2006 to 2013. Representative of the graduation in the Center Council of the CCT from 2008 to 2010. He was a member of the UENF Academic Collegiate from 2012 to 2015. Head of the Office of the Rectory from January 2016 to June 2019. Coordinator of the Extension Program UENF OPEN DOORS, which includes three projects: Getting to know the UENF; UENF Digital, and UENF Social Network. He has experience in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy, with emphasis on biomaterials, working mainly in the following subjects: biomaterials, composites, polymers, characterization and mechanical evaluation.
