He holds a Bachelor's degree and a Full Licentiate in Conducting Orchestra and Symphonic Choir from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1983), a Master's degree in the Postgraduate Program in Integration of Latin America - PROLAM from the University of São Paulo (2000) and a PhD in Musicology from the University of São Paulo (2008), he did his Post-Doctorate at the Facultad de Música de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México - UNAM (2015-2016) where he taught dialogic Ethnomusicology classes. Guest Professor at the Escuela Internacional de Verano for a Seminar and Conferences entitled ?Ethnomusicology applied to Panama? by the Universidad de Panamá and Guest Professor at the Universidad de La Guajira, Colombia (2021). Presented and director of the Radio Tropicana Musical program, at Paraná Educativa (2019-2021), USP and UDESC (since 2021). He is an associate professor and researcher at the Graduate Program in Music-Master and Doctor at UFPR, Department of Arts at the Federal University of Paraná and the Federal University of Paraná. He has experience in the field of Communication and Education, with an emphasis on Dialogical Ethnomusicology, working mainly on the following topics: ethnomusicology, Brazilian ethnomusicology, music, popular music, musical composition, radio and phonographic production. Currently a collaborator of the "Alfredo Bosi Chair of Basic Education" at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo (since 2020) IEA-USP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
