Lidilhone Hamerski

Associate Professor at the Natural Products Research Institute at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, a master's degree, and a doctorate in Chemistry from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Current Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Natural Product Chemistry (PPGQPN/UFRJ) (2022-2026). She completed a postdoctoral internship at Scripps Oceanography's Center for Marine Biotechnology and Biomedicine (University of California San Diego). She has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on the Chemistry of Natural Products, working mainly on the following topics: secondary metabolism of marine and endophytic microorganisms; sustainable use of biodiversity; standardization and validation of chromatographic methods (HPLC and LC/MS), marine chemical ecology, and also biological screening assays (antifungal and antibacterial).
