It has experience in the fields of Natural Products Chemistry and Chemical Ecology. The research focuses on the following topics: Chemical and metabolomical studies of hops and beer production processes; ecological plant-insect interactions; metabolomic studies of plants, insects and their eco-chemical interactions interface; phytochemical and eco-physiological variability of secondary metabolites of Asteraceae species and Orchidaceae. He is a professor of Organic Chemistry Area disciplines in the Department of Physics and Chemistry of FCFRP-USP since 2009. She graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry, FCFRP-USP (1999), master's (2002) and doctorate (2007) in Pharmaceutical Sciences FCFRP USP. Between 2007 and 2008 he conducted post-doctorate in the Department of Biology of FFCLRP-USP, studying neuroactive small molecules of venoms of invertebrates. In 2009 he conducted post-doctorate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences FCFRP-USP employing cheminformatics tools and analytical methodologies in dereplication of herbal extracts. Between 2011 and 2012 he held a post-doctorate in the Department of Chemical Ecology of the University of Bielefeld (Germany), where he studied the chemical ecology of invasive plants using metabolomics tools.
