He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (1989), a Master's degree in Physics from the Fundação Instituto de Física Teórica (1993), a PhD in Physics from the Fundação Instituto de Física Teórica (1997), and Professorship in Physics from the Universidade de São Paulo (2017). He is Full Professor at the Universidade Federal do ABC. He has experience in Physics, with an emphasis on Statistical Physics and Thermodynamics, Kinetics and Fluid Transport Theory, Physical Properties of Gases, Interstellar Medium, Cosmology and Solar Physics.
