Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the "Luiz de Queiroz" School of Agriculture (1992) - University of São Paulo - ESALQ-USP, Master's (2001) and Doctorate (2005) in Agronomy from the same faculty, having completed part of this at ICRAF, Kenya - Phytotechnics concentration area, with an emphasis on Ecophysiology and Agroforestry Systems. He contributes as a reviewer to several national and international journals. He has experience in the area of Agronomy and Forestry, with an emphasis on Ecophysiology, working mainly on the following topics: Agroforestry Systems, Interactions and Applied Ecology. He also worked as a trader in companies in different parts of the country, having experience in exporting, negotiating and coordinating the production chain. He carried out his post-doctorate at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture - CENA-USP in Piracicaba, SP and part of this at the National Institute for Amazonian Research - INPA, Manaus-AM (2007-2008), with work focused on the issue of deforestation and Estimation of biomass and carbon stocks of natural vegetation in the Amazon and their contribution to the Greenhouse Effect due to slash and burn. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Forestry Sciences (LCF) at the "Luiz de Queiroz" School of Agriculture - ESALQ / USP, being responsible for the area of agroforestry systems. He develops research and act as an advisor to post-graduate students in the areas of Ecology, Agroforestry Systems, Environmental Restoration and Environmental Services.
