PhD in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently an ms3 professor at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Microbiology, with emphasis on Molecular and Microorganism Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: ABC transporters ( Opp , polyamines and molybdate ), bacterial genetics, genome. Bacterial models; Xanthomonas, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus agalactiae. It also operates in Research in Teaching / scientific education and dissemination in microbiology with new active teaching methodologies, developing the project #Adote with the strands Adopt a bacteria and Adopt a microorganism.
