Amilcar Zani Netto is Professor Titular and Head of the Music Department of Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Univeridade de São Paulo (ECA/USP). Pianist and researcher, he also has an Architecture degree at University Mackenzie , São Paulo. His specialization includes piano studies in Portugal, with Helena Costa and in Hamburg, Germany, with Conrad Hansen. He proceeded to the degree of Master and Ph.D. in Music at Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. Professor and Doctorate Advisor of the Music Departament at the same School, he has achieved several postdoctorate studies at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., USA. His music studies and resarches emphasize German Romanticism on Robert Schumann, as well as the Second Viennese School, on the Clara and Edward Steuermann Collection. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
