Uruguayan, naturalized Brazilian. He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). Professor of the Licentiate and Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, at the Health Sciences Center at UFPB. Member of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE, Master's and Doctoral level), at the Center for Under Education at UFPB. He holds a Masters in Motor Education (1995) and a Doctorate in [Education from the State University of Campinas (2002), with a doctoral internship at the Universidad de Salamanca - SPAIN. Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology and Communication at the University of Salamanca, Spain (2009-2010). Leader of the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Historical-Critical Pedagogy, Public Policies and the World of Work - member of the National HISTEDBR, registered with CNPq. He was a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Sociology and Communication at the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, in 1999, 2000 and 2001. He has experience in the field of Education, with an emphasis on Educational Policy, working mainly on the following topics: Educational Policy, Early Childhood Education, Management Democratic School, History of Education and Children's Physical Education. Author of several books and magazine articles on these educational topics. He is currently vice-coordinator of the PPGE at UFPB. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
