Everaldo Barreiros de Souza

Everaldo Barreiros de Souza currently holds the position of FULL PROFESSOR at the Institute of Geosciences (IG) from Federal University of Pará (UFPA), in Belém-PA in eastern Amazon, Brazil. PhD in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo (USP/IAG, 2003), Master in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE/CPTEC, 1997) and Bachelor in Meteorology from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA, 1993). Since 2006 is Professor at the Faculty of Meteorology (FAMET) and since 2007 is Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program (Masters and Doctorate) in Environmental Sciences (PPGCA) at UFPA/MPEG/EMBRAPA (Course Level 5-CAPES). PPGCA coordinator during 2018/2019/2020 period. PQ-2 Research Productivity Fellow at CNPQ since 2006. Member of the Brazilian Panel on Climate Change (PBMC) and Lead author of Chapter 9 (Long and short-term environmental changes) published in the First National Assessment Report on Scientific Base of Climate Change (PBMC, 2014). Lead Researcher of the Climate Modeling Group Applied to Environmental Sciences in the Amazon (http: //dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/490037). Over the last 10 years has been Coordinator of 12 Scientific/Technological Research Projects funded by the Agencies FINEP, CNPQ, CAPES, SUDAM, FAPESPA. As main Advisor, he has completed the supervision of 11 Doctoral Theses, 13 Master's Dissertations and more than 40 TCC/PIBIC Scholarships, as well as tutoring 6 Post-Doctoral fellows. Publication of more than 100 scientific papers in National and International Journals. Experience in the area of Geosciences and Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis on Climatology and Hydrology of the Amazon, Regional and Global Climate Modeling, Climate Change, Environmental Sciences and Interdisciplinary Research in the context of the Amazon.
