Andrea Pires Fernandes

Bachelor of Chemistry from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) - Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara (1997). Master in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from UNESP - Institute of Chemistry of Araraquara (2002). PhD in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from the Federal University of São Carlos (2006) and two Post-Doctorates from the Federal University of Bahia (20072008 / 2008-2010). Since 2011 she is a Professor at the Federal University of Alagoas - Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology - Campus A. C. Simões in the area of #8203;#8203;Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, teaching subjects in General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Instrumental Analytical Chemistry and Industrial and Domestic Effluent Treatment. She is currently coordinator of the Undergraduate course in Technological and Industrial Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology at UFAL (IQB). He has experience in the field of Analytical Chemistry, with an emphasis on Analytical Instrumentation, Trace Analysis and Environmental Chemistry acting mainly on the following topics: flow analysis, optical methods of analysis (ICP OES, FAAS, GF AAS, ICP-MS), strategies for sample preparation, experimental data planning and chemometrics.
