Graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Brasília (1994 - 1998), Master's (1999 -2001) and Doctorate (2001 - 2004) at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos, University of São Paulo, in the area of Biomolecular Physics, with emphasis on protein crystallography techniques. He worked for five years (2005 - 2010) as a post-doc in drug discovery against neglected diseases, two of these years (2005 - 2007) at the Research Unit for Tropical Diseases, at the De Duve Institute of Cellular Pathology in Brussels, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Paul Michels. Since 2010, he has been a principal researcher at the National Biosciences Laboratory of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (LNBio/CNPEM), where he coordinates the Bioassay Laboratory (LBE), a facility dedicated to High Throughput Screening - HTS and High Content Analysys - HCA. In addition to the LBE coordination, he works in the area of drug discovery for infectious diseases, with a main interest in Chagas Disease. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
