TATIANE MARINA PINTO DE GODOY is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), affiliated with the Department of Geosciences. She holds a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Geography from UNESP/Rio Claro, with a doctoral internship at the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (2008) and postdoctoral studies at the Federal University of São Carlos (20112013) and at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 (2016). Her main areas of expertise are Urban Geography and Economic Geography, with a focus on the following topics: solidarity economy, informal urban labor, labor precarization, spatial practices of waste pickers and street vendors, the social production of space, and forms of urban resistance. She coordinates the Urban Observatory of São João del-Rei and conducts research at the interface between academia and community outreach, grounded in critical and participatory methodologies.
