Odenir de Almeida

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP Ilha Solteira (1998), a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university (2001) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico da Aeronautica - ITA (2009) with a sandwich period abroad at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research - ISVR (2008) - University of Southampton UK. He did a postdoctoral internship at the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) of the University of São Paulo (USP) (2018-2019) acting as a visiting researcher in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering. He was a product development engineer at EMBRAER - Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S / A working in areas such as Propulsion and Technological Development (2001-2010). Works in the area of #8203;#8203;Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Experimental and Computational Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, mainly related to the following subjects: Wind Tunnel Tests, Aeroacoustics (mapping of sound sources), Fluid-structure Interaction, Aerodynamics of Automotive Vehicles, Wind Energy (wind turbines), Project inspired by nature (bio-inspired design). He has professional experience in the Brazilian aeronautical industry in the area of #8203;#8203;Propulsion and Aerodynamics, developing numerical simulations and experimental tests for the integration of propulsive systems and external aircraft noise. He is currently Associate Professor level-IV at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Coordinator of the Experimental Aerodynamics Laboratory (LAEXn) and Coordinator of the Experimental Aerodynamics Research Center (CPAERO).
