Medical Doctor degree from the Universidade de São Paulo School of Medicine (1987). Master's degree obtained from the Department of Psychiatry, Universidade de São Paulo School of Medicine (1993). PhD program completed at the Department of Psychiatry, Universidade de São Paulo School of Medicine (2002). Post-Doctoral degree obtained from the University of Sao Paulo in 2010. Since March 2009 has been coordinating the Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders Program at the Institute of Psychiatry from the Department of Psychiatry, University of São Paulo School of Medicine. Since July, 2010, is an Assistant Psychiatrist at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of São Paulo Medical School, and Mentor of the post-graduate program of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Sao Paulo Medical School. Since September, 2010, is an Associate Director of the International College of Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders (www.icocs.org). Since June/2013 is a Colaborating Professor-Physician at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine. Since 2017 she has been a co-PI in an international research effort aiming to identify brain signatures of OCD, in partnership with researchers from the USA, The Netherlands, India and South Africa (www.global-ocd.org). Reviewer of several Brazilian and international journals, including the Scientific Reports, Journal of Psychiatric Research, Psychiatry Research, Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders. Experienced researcher in the field of Medicine/Psychiatry, conducting research projects in the following areas: obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders (OCD), treatment response, long-term follow-up, predictive factors of OCD prognosis, behavioral and pharmacological treatment.
