Graduated from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP), 1997-2002. Medical residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Hospital das Clínicas da FMRP-USP (HCFMRP), 2003-2006. Specialist title from the Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR) in 2006. Postgraduate (PhD) in Medical Sciences from FMRP-USP, 2006-2009, FAPESP scholarship. Fellowship in body MRI at Emory University in Atlanta, United States, 2007-2008. Post-doctorate in thoracic radiology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, 2012-2013, CAPES scholarship. Associate professor by FMRP-USP in 2022. From 2008 to 2022 he has been an assistant physician at the HCFMRP. From 2014 to 2022 he was Coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Radiology at HCFMRP. From 2016 to 2022, he has been a FAEPA Collaborating Professor at FMRP-USP, responsible for the discipline of thoracic and cardiovascular radiology. In 2019 he obtained the European Diploma in Thoracic Imaging (ESTI). Since 2019 he has been a member of the CBR Teaching, Improvement and Residency Commission and since 2020 of the Titling Commission. Since 2021 he has been the coordinator of the Education and Introduction to Research course at SPR. Since 2022 he has been a professor at the Medicine Course at USP in Bauru and Medical Officer responsible for the Radiology Service of the Clinics Hospital of Bauru. Clinically and academically experienced radiologist, professor and researcher, primarily interested in the close radiopathological correlation and in quantitative and functional imaging methods of thoracic and cardiovascular disease, including quantification of emphysema, airway disease, and interstitial disease by CT, analysis function of pulmonary nodule by MRI, radiomics, artificial intelligence, and the role of radiology in personalized/precision medicine.
