Agronomist Engineer by Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP, 1998), M.Sc. in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry by ESALQ-USP (2001) and Ph.D. in Sciences - Biology in Agriculture and Environment by Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura, University of São Paulo (CENA-USP, 2006). Full Professor at Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Center of Biosciences, Department of Genetics, and coordinator of Laboratory of Plant Genomics and Proteomics. Experience in areas of Plant Genetics, Biochemistry and Molecular Physiology, with emphasis in Plant Molecular Biology, mainly in the following topics: Genomics, Gene Expression, Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Bioenergy, SAGE, chloroplasts, Saccharum, Vigna, Jatropha and Lemnoidae.
