Eduardo Leite Borba

Bachelor's at Ciências Biológicas from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1994), master's at Botany from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1997) and doctorate at Botany from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2001). Currently he is Associate Professor at the Departamento de Botânica, Instituto de Ciências Biológicas of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (April de 2016). He is Professor at the graduate program of Biologia Vegetal of the UFMG. He was Adjunct Professor at the Departamento de Ciências Biológicas of the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (2001-2005), Departamento de Botânica of the UFMG (2005-2010) and Centro de Ciências Naturais e Humanas of the Universidade Federal do ABC (2010-2016). He was Coordinator of the graduate program in Evolução e Diversidade of the UFABC. He was Assistant Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Botany, and reviewer for nearly 30 scientific journals. Has experience in Botany, focusing on Plant Systematics, acting on the following subjects: biossystematics, morphometrics, Orchidaceae (especially Bulbophyllum and Pleurothallidinae), campos rupestres, reproductive biology, population genetics and taxonomy.
