Marcelo de Castro Chaves Stabile

Graduated from ESALQ/USP as an agronomist in 2003, having spent one year at Texas AM as an undergraduate exchange student sponsored by CAPES/Fulbright. Did his M.Sc.in Agronomy at Texas AM and graduated in 2005. The M.Sc. was focused on remote sensing and precision Agriculture. Worked as a manager of an organic pecan farm (Rio Grande Organics) from 2005 to december 2006. Did his PhD at Sydney University from July 2007 and received the title in 2011. The PhD was focused on remote sensing and land-use and -cover change modeling. From June 2011 to October 2022 was a researcher at the Amazon Environmental Research Institute (IPAM) in Brasilia with a focus on sustainable agriculture and cattle ranching.
