He started his academic career as Full Professor at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), in the Pharmacy course, remaining until 2008. Currently, he is Associate Professor in the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará. Graduated in Chemistry (BSc) from the Regional University of Blumenau Foundation, with a master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (supervised by Prof. Dr. Edilberto R. Silveira) and DSc in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (supervised by Prof. Dr. Paulo C. Vieira). With academic training in the area of natural products (master's and doctorate), he develops research in the Graduate Program in Chemistry at UFC (Capes, level 6) in the lines of natural products and biocatalysis / biotransformation. He supervised several dissertations and theses, in addition to scientific initiation (undergraduate students). He was CNPq researcher (level 2) in the period 2010-2013. Since 2011, he has coordinated the extension project named CluQui, which was initially funded by CNPq. He did a postdoctoral internship at the University of Arizona (Tucson-AZ, USA) with Prof. Dr. Leslie Gunatilaka. In addition to his training and academic performance, he has capacitation technical course in Chemistry and Textile Finishing, with 7 years of experience in both process and quality control at textile industry.
