Graduated in Biological Sciences Medical Modality (1984). Master (1995) and doctorate (1999) in Immunology at the University of São Paulo. She is currently a researcher at the Butantan Institute. Has experience in the area of Immunology and Applied Microbiology. From 1999 to 2012, worked in the Anaerobic Vaccines Section, in the Division of Technological Development and Production, from 2007 to 2012 as head of the Section, working in the production of Tetanic and Botulinum toxins and anatoxins, study of antibodies production against Clostriduim tetani and Clostridium botulinum, study on toxins , serums, vaccines and development of in vitro neutralizing antibody tests. Currently works at the Laboratory of Immunogenetics, in the Division of Scientific Development in studies of new vaccines and adjuvants and in factors that influence the genetic regulation of the immune response and obesity in genetically selected mice AIRmax, AIRmin, HIII, LIII.From 2013 to 2019 was president of the Internal Biosafety Commission of Instituto Butantan, and from 2019 is president of the Internal Biosafety Commission of the Scientific Development area of Instituto Butantan where, in cooperation with CTNBio, manages the activities that involve genetically modified organisms (GMOs) working on the elaboration and dissemination of rules including deliberation and decision about biosafety procedures.
