He is electronic engineer by University of S. Paulo (1986), and has master degree at Electrical Engineering (1988) and PhD at Applied Physics from University of S. Paulo (1992). Currently he is associate professor at the Escola de Engenharia de S.Carlos, University of S. Paulo. His research experience is in the Biomedical Engineering field, mainly with medical imaging, working with: mammography image processign, mammography, computer-aided diagnosis, medical image digitization and quality assurance in radiology. He worked as coordinator in the Master/Doctor degrees course in Electrical Engineering (2004-2006) as well as in the Electrical Engineering undergraduate course (2009-2015) at EESC/USP, and was also vice-director of the Informatics Center of S.Carlos, USP (2006-2013) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
