Graduated in Law (FURG-1998) and specialist in Environmental Law (UNIMEP-2005). Master in Science Education (UNESP-2003) and doctorate degree in Education (UFSCar-2008) with a internship in Lisbon (CIE-UL) within the scope of the CAPES/GRICES Program. Between 2009 and 2010 completed a post-doctoral internship at the PPGE at PUCRS within the scope of PNPD/CAPES. In 2022 and 2023 completed a post-doctoral internship at PPGECT/UFSC with research on academic writing and implications for authorship, autonomy and training of teachers and researchers in the area of #8203;#8203;teaching. Since 2010, she has been a professor in the Department of Biology at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Recife Campus, working in the Biological Sciences Teaching Area. She is the leader of the Education and Sustainability Study and Research Group (GEPES/UFRPE) and supervises undergraduate, scientific initiation, extension, master's and doctorate work. Coordinated the PPG Ensino das Ciências at UFRPE from 09/2016 to 01/2021 and the PPG Rede Nordeste de Ensino/UFRPE from 02/2021 to 03/2022. She works on research and extension projects in the areas of environmental education and science teaching, seeking to articulate educational and ecological perspectives in different contexts. Lines of investigation: environmental education, science teaching and curriculum; teaching science and socio-scientific and socio-environmental issues; phenomenological research; socio-environmental literacies; academic writing.
