Marcelo Carmo received his Bachelor in Chemistry (2001), master's degree in Chemistry (2003), and Ph.D. in Sciences (2008) from the University of São Paulo. In 2006 he had a Ph.D. research experience at Hydrogen Institute for Applied Technology - HIAT and Darmstadt Technical University - TUD in Germany. He served as a post doctoral associate at Technological Research Institute of Sao Paulo in 2008 and from 2009 to 2011, at Yale University-USA. In 2011, he accepted the position of a research scientist at the Institute of Energy Research at the Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany. His research focuses on fuel cells, batteries and hydrogen production, comprising electrochemistry, electrocatalysis and nanotechnology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
